The food was amazing. Very flavourful. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent Service. Excellent selection of wine, and drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant was one of its best aspects. It is advisable to make reservations early, as the wait can be over an hour at times. Highly recommended restaurant.
This was our final night in Aruba and we were hoping for an amazing meal. We made a reservation for Gianni’s the day prior for 6:30, arrived at 6:15, and were immediately seated. We ordered by 6:45 and our meals didn’t come until 7:40. If the food was amazing I would have been happy to wait but the food was less than mediocre and the portions were incredibly small for the prices being charged. We ordered a calamari appetizer the was like rubber. We ordered 2 small salads that were shredded iceberg lettuce with very little flavor and a few cherry tomatoes. They were $7.50 each for shredded lettuce. The meals average over $30 for mostly pasta and a small amount of meat. No salad or even bread was included with the meal. I would never ever eat here again and can not recommend due to the extremely slow service on a not so busy night, extremely high prices for very small quantity of food, and the low quality of food. Almost $300 (with gratuity) for a family of 6 to eat with no alcohol and only 3 soft drinks and we all walked away still hungry. I am extremely disappointed. Feels like I’ve been ripped off.
Had several people mention to us that this is the 'best Italian on the island'...which seemed like a fairly low bar to set, so didn't take it seriously at first. But we took a chance on Gianni's and were actually very impressed. Easily holds its own against high quality and authentic Italian restaurants I've dined at globally.
This Italian restaurant is located on the main strip of high rise. There are parking spots behind the restaurant. But if you stay in one of the hotels on the main strip, you can walk to it. It is busy so reservation should be made ahead of time. The atmosphere is lively due people are walking around, live music, and being close to the street. The food were amazingly delicious. Waiters were attentive and responsive. They have a big selection of wines, not so much for cocktails. My dining experience was typical, nothing extraordinary. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Aruba.
Very classy place. Prices are on the lower high end but reasonable. Our waiter Elkyn was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and the history of the restaurant. Overall a great experience. We sat in the air conditioned side. We had to make reservations.
